A settlement has been reached in the dispute between Chairman Erik af Klint and board member Juhani Selvani.
The parties have now agreed on how the Foundation’s activities are to be conducted going forward, including a shared direction for the long-term stewardship and care of Hilma af Klint’s works. The settlement thereby brings the legal proceedings to an end.
“We will now continue our work with a shared direction for how the long-term preservation and care of the works are to be carried out,” says Juhani Selvani.
The Board has now reached a common understanding regarding the interpretation of the Foundation’s statutes and agrees that the Foundation shall continue to make Hilma af Klint’s works known through exhibitions. “
Hilma af Klint’s works are a Swedish cultural treasure with international recognition and must continue to be shared with the world,” says Erik af Klint.
The members of the Board now look forward to working together in a constructive spirit for the benefit of the Foundation.
“It is a relief to put this behind us.
We are grateful that we have now been able to reach a common way forward,” says Erik af Klint. “
“After many years of uncertainty and turbulence within the Foundation, including several legal proceedings, most recently before the District Court, we have reached a common understanding regarding how the organisation is to be managed going forward. I am pleased and grateful that Erik af Klint and I can now regard this as a new beginning,” says Juhani Selvani.
